Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police on Thursday issued an advisory warning commuters about continued traffic restrictions on New Rohtak Road, which will remain in place until January 31 due to ongoing underground cabling maintenance and upgradation work.

The Delhi Traffic Police has urged motorists to plan their journeys via alternate routes and follow the direction of on-site traffic personnel to avoid inconvenience.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Check Affected And Alternate Routes

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Delhi Traffic Police said, “In connection with the ongoing underground cabling maintenance and upgradation work by Tata Power – Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), traffic movement on New Rohtak Road from Kamal T-Point to Liberty Cinema towards Paharganj will remain affected till 31.01.2026.”

Affected Routes

- The stretch from Anand Parbat New Rohtak Road, Kamal T-Point towards Liberty Cinema, Paharganj, will remain affected until January 31 2026, due to ongoing underground cabling work.

Alternate Routes

- Vehicles heading towards Paharganj/New Delhi should take a left from Kamal T-Point towards Sarai Rohilla and then turn right onto Veer Banda Bairagi Marg to proceed via Rani Jhansi Road.

- Vehicles going towards Liberty Cinema from Shastri Nagar Chowk are advised to avoid Swami Narayan Marg and take Rani Jhansi Road instead.

In the advisory, the Delhi Traffic Police further urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance via alternate routes and follow the directions of on-site traffic personnel to avoid inconvenience. The Delhi Traffic Police will continue to monitor the area to ensure smoother vehicle movement during the maintenance period.
