Delhi Blast: The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory on Tuesday, announcing traffic restrictions and diversions on both carriageways and service roads of Netaji Subhash Marg, from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut, due to ongoing exigencies following the blast. Commuters have been advised to avoid these routes until further notice and to use alternative roads for a smooth and hassle-free journey.

Delhi has been placed on high alert after a car explosion near the Red Fort on Monday evening killed 12 people and injured several others. In response, security has been tightened across the national capital, with traffic diversions leading to expected delays, especially in and around the Red Fort area.
Traffic Restrictions And Diversion
According to Delhi Police, traffic restrictions and diversions have been implemented on both carriageways and the service roads of Netaji Subhash Marg, between Chhatta Rail Cut and Subhash Marg Cut.

“On 11.11.25, due to exigencies, traffic restrictions and diversions will remain in place on both carriageways and service roads of Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut. Commuters are advised to avoid these routes from 6:00 AM until further orders and use alternative roads for a hassle-free journey,” the advisory stated.
“No vehicles shall be allowed on Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut and vice versa,” it added.
Delhi Red Fort Blast
The explosion occurred when a Haryana-registered car parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station suddenly detonated, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens. Several nearby vehicles caught fire, and streetlights were damaged. The injured were rushed to LNJP Hospital, where they are currently under observation.
Police, NIA, NSG, and forensic teams reached the site within minutes, cordoned off the area, and began investigations. CCTV footage is being examined to trace the sequence of events and identify the suspect.
High Alert In Different States
Following the blast, high alerts have been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai. Security has been intensified at crowded public areas and religious sites.
A case has been registered under multiple sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosives Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Providing an update on Tuesday morning, DCP North Raja Banthia said that teams from the NSG, Delhi Police, and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are examining the blast site in detail.
