Delhi Weather: Temperatures in Delhi are expected to continue falling over the next two days in view of the northern winds. The cold conditions have already begun to intensify and on Tuesday, Delhi recorded its lowest minimum temperature of 8.8 degrees Celsius, along with a noticeable drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi's maximum temperature was recorded at 25.1 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees Celsius below normal, while the minimum temperature was 9 degrees Celsius, 2.3 degrees Celsius below normal. The humidity level was recorded at 100 to 42 per cent.

For the next two days, the maximum temperature is expected to be below 25 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius. The weather department has forecast fog in the morning and clear weather in the afternoon for Wednesday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be nine degrees Celsius.

North India Weather Update

North India is experiencing a sharp, significant drop in temperatures, signalling the rapid onset of winter. The shift in weather comes as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued snowfall alerts for the hill states such as Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, a deep depression over the Straight of Malacca is expected to intensify into a Cyclonic Storm on November 26. The cyclonic storm, which will be named ‘Cyclone Senyar’, is expected to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall to several south Indian states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
