Delhi Air Pollution Today: Air quality across Delhi and the wider NCR remained alarming on Wednesday morning, with the overall AQI touching 373 in the “very poor” category at 7 AM, according to the CPCB. Of the 39 monitoring stations in the capital, 34 reported “very poor” air, while the remaining five fell under the “poor” category.
Noida and Greater Noida recorded severe AQIs of 413 and 443, respectively. Gurugram saw some improvement as its AQI dropped to 346 from 418 a day earlier, while Faridabad’s AQI also eased from 433 to 391.
Area-Wise AQI In Delhi Today
Air quality readings across key locations in Delhi on Wednesday painted a grim picture, with most stations falling in the “Very Poor” category. South Extension recorded an AQI of 348, India Gate 358, AIIMS 348, Ghazipur 363, Delhi Technological University 367, Anand Vihar 364, Bawana 382, Ashok Vihar 364, Burari 347, Alipur 344, ITO 360, and Dwarka 361.

Additional monitoring points also reported similar levels: Anand Vihar stood at 363, Ashok Vihar 361, Alipur 345, Aya Nagar 306, Bawana 382, Burari 346, Chandni Chowk 345, DTU 367, and Dwarka 359. Meanwhile, the IGI Airport T3 area logged 298, ITO 358, Jahangirpuri 367, Lodhi Road 300, Mundka 371, Najafgarh 316, Punjabi Bagh 368, Rohini 380, Vivek Vihar 365, Sonia Vihar 338, RK Puram 348, and Wazirpur 377, all signalling persistently poor air quality across the city.
Delhi Weather
The IMD has forecast moderate fog for Wednesday, with temperatures likely to hover around 24 Degree Celsius at the maximum and 9 Degree Celsius at the minimum. Winds are blowing from the west-northwest at around 7 km/h, with gusts expected to reach up to 17 km/h.
AQI levels are categorised as follows, good (0-50), satisfactory (51-100), moderately polluted (101-200), poor (201-300), very poor (301-400), and severe (401-500).
CPCB data shows that Delhi’s average AQI has consistently remained in the “very poor” range over the past week, recording 391 on Sunday, 370 on Saturday, 374 on Friday, 391 on Thursday, 392 on Wednesday, 374 on Tuesday, and 351 on Monday.
