A tragic incident occurred on Friday night in Gulabpura village, where a youth from Dahlawas was stabbed to death while attempting to intervene in a fight. The altercation, which triggered chaos at the venue, reportedly began over a dispute regarding dancing to a DJ at a lagan (pre-wedding) ceremony.
The Incident
The victim, identified as 28-years-old Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Dahlawas, was attending the ceremony at an acquaintance's home in Gulabpura. Around 10 pm, a scuffle broke out between a group of young men regarding the dancing.
Witnessing the disruption, Sanjeev stepped in to mediate and stop the fight. During his attempt to intervene, the group of youths surrounded him and stabbed him repeatedly. The accused fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Medical And Police Response
Sanjeev sustained critical injuries and was rushed by villagers to the civil hospital. However, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Upon receiving information about the incident, teams from the local police and the Crime Branch arrived at the scene. The police have taken custody of the body for further procedures.
Investigation Status
The police have launched a full investigation into the murder. According to current reports:
Detentions: Approximately five individuals from Chhelawas and Gulabpura villages have been detained for questioning.
Current Status: The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend the primary attackers.
