Panic spread at the prestigious Taj Palace Hotel in Chanakyapuri on Saturday after it received a bomb threat via email, just one day after a similar threat was sent to the Delhi High Court. The email caused chaos among the hotel's guests, which included foreign tourists, business travelers and VIPs.

According to a police official, the hotel management received the threatening email at approximately 2:00 am on Saturday but only saw it and informed the Chanakyapuri police later that morning. In response, multiple Delhi Police teams, including the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), a dog squad, and a Quick Reaction Team (QRT), were immediately dispatched to the scene.

An extensive three-hour search operation was conducted throughout the hotel. Public areas, the car park, the lobby, and guest rooms were thoroughly checked with bomb detection equipment and trained dogs. After finding nothing suspicious, the police declared the threat a hoax.

A case has been registered, and police are now working with cyber teams to trace the source of the email. This incident is the latest in a series of hoax bomb threats that have targeted courts, embassies and schools in Delhi over the past few months, raising concerns about the motives behind these attempts to create panic and disrupt security agencies.
