NEET UG Exam Row: While a CJP Protest continues in Delhi over the NEET paper leak issue, Faridabad's Panshul Bansal, who secured All India Rank 2 in the NEET-UG examination, has shared his thoughts on his preparation following the cancellation of the original paper.
Panshul said that even after the paper was cancelled, he continued his preparation with a positive mindset. He did not change his daily routine, which eventually helped his score improve. He added that since his marks had already improved, there was no reason for him to join the protests.
Father Says These Are His Son's Personal Views
However, Panshul's father told Dainik Jagran that his son's views should not be linked to the current prevailing circumstances around the issue, clarifying that these were purely his son's personal opinions and not meant to represent a broader stance on the matter.
Focused On Studies After Initial Disappointment
Panshul Bansal, a resident of Sector-21C, Faridabad, said that amid the protests following the paper leak, he found it better to stay home and focus on his studies.
He admitted that the cancellation of the original exam had initially left him disappointed, as any student would feel a setback after learning that a paper had leaked, and he too experienced considerable disappointment at the time.
Turned Setback Into Opportunity To Improve Score
Panshul said he later viewed the situation as an opportunity to work on his weaknesses and improve his score. The original exam was held on May 3 but was cancelled on May 12 following allegations of a paper leak.
Following this, a re-exam was conducted on June 21 under tight security, with results declared on July 16. In the re-exam, Panshul's score rose to 715.
