AP TET 2026 Notification Out: The Department of Education, Andhra Pradesh, has officially released the notification for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2026, with online registrations opening today, June 5, 2026. The announcement was shared by Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh, who reiterated that the AP TET is being conducted to strengthen school education and uphold quality teaching standards.
The online application portal will be open till July 5, 2026. Eligible candidates must submit their applications, upload documents, and pay the fee through the official website at tet2dsc.apcfss.in.
AP TET is a state-level exam conducted to test candidates’ eligibility for teaching positions across the state of Andhra Pradesh. The test will consist of two papers: Paper 1 is for those who wish to teach students from classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach students in classes 6 to 8.

How To Apply For AP TET 2026?
Candidates can follow the given steps to register online through the official website:
Step 1: Visit the DSE, Andhra Pradesh official portal at tet2dsc.apcfss.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “AP TET Registration 2026” link.
Step 3: Fill in all your particulars in the online application carefully.
Step 4: Upload all mandatory documents in the prescribed format.

AP TET 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the AP TET examination, candidates must read the eligibility criteria carefully mentioned in the notification PDF. The eligibility varies depending on the level of examination for which candidates are appearing. Generally, applicants must be Indian nationals and at least 18 years old, with no upper age limit. For Paper 1 (Classes 1–5), candidates must have an Intermediate or Bachelor's degree alongside a professional teaching diploma like D.El.Ed or B.Ed. Those applying for Paper 2 (Classes 6–8) must hold a relevant Graduation degree combined with a professional teaching qualification such as a B.Ed or B.El.Ed.
The AP TET examination 2026 will be held from August 5 to August 21, 2026, across two sessions on both days. Session I is scheduled from 9.30 am to 12 noon, while Session II will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Admit cards will be available from July 25, 2026, onwards through the official website.
