CBSE Board Exam 2024: Students have been cautioned by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) not to fall for a bogus letter that says the 2024 board examinations have been postponed because of a farmers' protest. The board stated on social media that CBSE has not made any such decisions and that the letter is fraudulent and deceptive.

“It has come to the notice of the board that because of farmers’ protest, there are problem faced out by the board, they are unable to appear in the schools as per the government guidelines board exams of class XII has been postponed, as soon as you will be informed with new dates,” the fake notice reads.

“Based on the request received by the school from the student, school will login into school account on the CBSE website and submit the details of the student i.e. name of the student, roll no., change required in theory, change required in practical, change required in both, required city/country etc.,” it further added.

The fake CBSE letter regarding the delay of the CBSE Class 12 board examinations till 2024 also provided instructions on how to request a schedule modification for the tests. According to the statement, students must ask the institutions to modify the dates of their theoretical examinations, practicals, or both. Students will need to let the schools know which city they would want to take the exam in when they submit their request. The fake letter continued by instructing schools on how to modify the dates of board examinations.

The fake board notification went on to state that when the school submits a request, modifications to the exam centre's city will not be permitted.
