CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced its examinations for Classes X and XII, which will run until April 4, 2025. The Board has implemented necessary measures to ensure that the exams are conducted smoothly and fairly.
CBSE Addresses Exam Paper Leak Rumours
In light of this, CBSE is addressing false claims circulating on social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), which allege that the exam papers for 2025 have been leaked. These allegations are unfounded and are intended to create unnecessary panic among students and their families.
Board Secretary Himanshu Gupta issued a notice stating, “The Board is closely monitoring the situation and taking action against those spreading false information. We are collaborating with officials to identify and penalise those responsible. Students involved in such activities will face consequences under CBSE’s regulations and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).”
CBSE Board Exam: Advice For Students And Parents
Parents are encouraged to advise their children against believing or sharing unverified information, as it disrupts the examination process. The notice further stated, “Students, parents and schools should only rely on official updates from CBSE’s website (www.cbse.gov.in) and verified sources. We urge the public to remain vigilant against misinformation during the exam period. Legal action will be taken against anyone spreading false news to safeguard the integrity of the exams.”
Record Number Of Students Appearing For Exams
This year, 42,00,237 students are participating in the CBSE Board exams, an increase of 3,14,695 from last year's total of 38,85,542 candidates. Among these, 24,12,072 students are in Class 10 and 17,88,165 in Class 12. The exams are being held at 7,842 centres nationwide.
Stricter Security Measures For 2025 Exams
To enhance security for the 2025 board exams, CBSE has introduced stricter regulations, including CCTV surveillance in examination halls, gender-specific frisking and stringent measures against mobile phone usage and the dissemination of rumours. Clear guidelines have been issued for exam centre staff, students and parents to ensure the fair conduct of the exams. All schools designated as exam centres are now required to have CCTV facilities in place as part of the new policy.
