CBSE Board Exams 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an advisory for the exam centres along with detailed exam day guidelines. This initiative aims to ensure that students have a smooth exam experience during the Class 10 and 12 Board exams. 

The Board exam will start from 10:30 AM, and students are instructed to reach the exam centre at 10 AM to avoid traffic congestion. The advisory states, “Keeping in view important national and international summits, high-level meetings, and other programmes scheduled during the examination period, traffic regulations may result in congestion, route diversions, and delays in different parts of the country."

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Exam Centre Guidelines

The exam controller has issued the following important instructions for the CBSE exam centres: 

1. Mathematics (041 and 241) and Hindi A & B question papers must be packed separately for Classes 10 and 12.

2. Students must follow the seating arrangements in the examination hall. 

3. To avoid mismatches, invigilators need to distribute accurate question papers. 

4. Any change of subject will not be allowed at the exam centre under any circumstances. 

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Reporting Time & Exam Day Guidelines For Students

CBSE has asked students to abide by the exam day guidelines for the upcoming board exams. Here are some key pointers: 

1. Students are instructed to reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. 

2. Once the gate closes, candidates will not be allowed late entry. 

3. Carry your original CBSE admit card and one valid photo ID for verification.

4. Wear a proper uniform and avoid all prohibited items inside the examination hall. 

5. Read the exam day instructions carefully to avoid any inconvenience. 

6. Carry your own stationery and water bottle for the exam. 

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Do’s And Don’ts

Given below are some dos and don’ts for students to ensure fairness and transparency during the board exams. 

Do’s

1. Follow all instructions given by the invigilator properly.

2. Maintain discipline inside the examination hall.

3. Check that all details on the answer sheet or OMR sheet are properly filled

4. If you find any discrepancy in the question paper, immediately report it to the invigilator. 

Don’ts

1. Do not engage in any unfair practices.

2. Do not leave the examination centre during the exam.

3. Avoid carrying any prohibited things like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, calculators, bags, or written materials inside the examination hall. 

4. Do not handle exam materials outside designated instructions
