CBSE Date Sheet 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the practical exam dates of the CBSE Class 10th and 12th board exams 2025. According to the notification, CBSE practical exams for classes 10, 12 will start on January 1, and the theory exam will begin on February 15, 2025. Candidates can check the notification at cbse.gov.in.
"The Practical Examinations/ IA for class X and XIl and the Board's Annual Theory Examinations are scheduled to start w.e.f. 01/01/2025 and 15/02/2025 respectively," reads the notification.
Meanwhile, CBSE winter-bound schools will conduct their practical exams between November 5 and December 5, 2024. The board has also issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for conducting the Practical Examinations, Project Work, and Internal Assessments in these schools.
CBSE Releases Subject-wise Marks Bifurcation
In addition to announcing the exam dates, CBSE has released the subject-wise marks distribution for both Classes 10 and 12. Schools are advised to check this information carefully to avoid errors when uploading practical marks, as once submitted, these marks cannot be modified. To assist schools in the smooth conduct of practical and theory exams, CBSE has also provided a detailed list of subjects for Classes 10 and 12. This list includes-
- Class
- Subject Code
- Subject Name
- Maximum Marks Theory Examination
- Maximum Marks Practical Examination
- Maximum Marks Project Assessment
- Maximum Marks Internal Assessment (|A)
- Whether External Examiner will be appointed for practical/project
assessment
- Whether Practical Answer-book will be provided by the Board
- Type of Answer Book that will be used in Theory Examinations
CBSE has announced that the maximum marks allotted for each subject is 100, with the distribution of marks across theory, practical, project, and internal assessment (IA) components detailed in the provided list. The board will begin conducting the theory exams from February 15, 2025. The subject-wise date sheet for Classes 10 and 12 is expected to be released soon. Students are advised to keep checking the CBSE official website for the latest updates.
