Constitution Day 2023: Higher education institutions are advised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to spread the word about Constitution Day 2023 and encourage student engagement in associated activities. On November 26, India observes Constitution Day, a celebration honouring the Constitution's adoption along with the Union of India.
Professor Manish R Joshi, the UGC Secretary, emphasized throughout the festivities the need to read the Preamble to renew one's devotion to constitutional principles. According to him, institutions can download certificates and take part in the online "Read the Preamble" program by using the MyGov portal. The UGC promotes holding lectures, webinars, and other events on the principles of the Indian Constitution and its ideals.
Furthermore, all other relevant information, like as images and videos from the activities, should be posted to the University Activity Monitoring Portal (UAMP) at uamp.ugc.ac.in.
Speaking on the Constitution Day celebration from the year before, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Supreme Court, where Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud also gave a speech. A lot of institutions also hosted events where students signed pledges to uphold the preamble's values.
