Delhi Education Minister Atishi Marlena gave instructions on Saturday to create a hybrid learning plan for schools. The goal is to make sure that bad weather, such as heat waves and fog, doesn't interfere with classes. As per an official announcement, the directive involves the integration of the Delhi Model Virtual Schools (DMVS) program with the traditional physical school model that is implemented by the Delhi government.

"Schooling in Delhi gets frequently disturbed due to adverse weather like heat waves during summer and fog in winter. Through DMVS, we will make all Delhi government schools hybrid so that our children's education does not suffer from the vagaries of weather," Atishi said.

According to the minister, the Delhi government wants to use the DMVS project to create a hybrid learning environment in every school so that students' education won't be interrupted by bad weather.

"For those children who cannot reach school, the Delhi government is taking the finest education to them through DMVS," further added.

The physical return of children in nursery, kindergarten, and primary classes from Delhi government schools, government-aided institutions, and accredited private schools took place on January 15, 2024.

Currently, students in grades 9 to 12 can access virtual education programs through the Delhi Model Virtual Schools (DMVS). Moreover, DMVS helps students in Delhi government schools who are preparing for tests like CUET, JEE, and NEET by providing test preparation support.
