Delhi-NCR School Hybrid Classes: The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has instructed the Delhi government to implement a hybrid teaching method for schools and colleges, allowing both physical and online classes wherever feasible. This decision follows the Supreme Court's direction, which had asked the CAQM to assess the possibility of reopening physical classes in schools and colleges across Delhi-NCR.
The court noted that many homes lack air purifiers, making the situation at home no better than attending school, especially given concerns over children missing mid-day meals and the challenges of virtual learning due to limited resources, according to media reports.
The CAQM has eased several restrictions under Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) and GRAP IV, enabling educational institutions in Delhi-NCR to operate in hybrid mode. It has also urged the Delhi-NCR governments to decide on the implementation of this model.

However, the Supreme Court declined to relax the anti-pollution restrictions under GRAP-4 in Delhi-NCR, stating that it would not lift curbs below GRAP-3 or GRAP-2 until there was a consistent decrease in the Air Quality Index (AQI). In light of the severe air quality levels, which have slightly improved, schools had been conducting online classes.
