Delhi Nursery Admission 2024: The Directorate of Education, Delhi, will start the registration process for the nursery, KG, and Class I admissions in more than 2,000 private schools today, November 23. The last date for form submissions will be December 15 and the selected students' first list will be issued on January 12. Parents interested in nursery admissions for their children's academic year 2024-2025 in Delhi can apply at edudel.nic.in.
The private unaided recognised schools that accept students in pre-school, pre-primary, and Class 1 for EWS, DG, and children with disabilities, respectively, are liable to a 25 per cent quota. The Department of Education (DoE) has mandated that the minimum number of seats available for entry-level admissions at these schools must meet or surpass the maximum number of seats provided in entry-level classes over the previous three years (2021–2023). Schools must publish their admission requirements and the initial list of chosen applicants with points earned by January 12, 2024.
A child must be three years old by March 31, 2024, in order to be enrolled to a preschool class. “At the level of school head, age relaxation for up to 30 days may be granted in minimum and upper age limits for these classes,” reads the official notification.

The notification further states that schools will respond to parent inquiries from January 13 to January 22 following the release of the first admission list on January 12. The notice further specifies that any parent wishing to request an age relaxation must apply in person by sending a request to the principal or head of the school.
All children who have applied for admission to the nursery must upload their details by December 29, 2023. On January 5, 2024, the grades that each applicant acquired will be announced. On January 29, 2024, the second list of chosen applicants will be made available. On February 21, more lists, if any, will be issued. On March 8, the admissions process will conclude.
