Aaryan Shukla, a class 8 student from Delhi Public School Nashik, has etched his name in the Guinness World Records for the 'fastest time to mentally add 50 five-digit numbers,' achieving the remarkable feat in just 25.19 seconds. This achievement occurred on the Italian TV show 'Lo Show Dei Record' in Milan, Italy, on February 29, 2024.
Since the age of six, Aaryan has been honing his mental math skills, demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication. His prowess in mental calculation has made him a prominent figure in international competitions, representing India with distinction. At the age of 12, Aaryan clinched the title of 'World Champion' at the 2022 Mental Calculation World Cup in Paderborn, Germany, competing against 40 human calculators from 20 countries worldwide.
Aaryan's journey to success began at the age of eight when he represented India at the 'Memorial Turkey Open Championship – 2018' in Istanbul, Turkey. There, he secured an impressive tally of 10 medals, including seven gold, one silver, and two bronze, while also setting two Kids World Records. Notably, Aaryan holds the record for the highest number of medals won in a single competition at Memorial.
Moreover, Aaryan's passion for mental calculation extends beyond competition. At the age of 13, he became one of the founding board members of the Global Mental Calculators Association (GMCA). This elite association brings together mental calculators from around the world, aiming to promote and enhance mental calculation skills globally.
