Delhi University issued a warning statement on Tuesday in response to a fake notification that was making the rounds on the internet, falsely claiming that the university has chosen to postpone the planned undergraduate exams that were supposed to take place on December 20 and 21.

According to an official from Delhi University, a false notification is making the rounds among students, stating that the undergraduate examinations have been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances," as reported by the news agency PTI.

''In light of unforeseen circumstances, Delhi University regrets to inform the students and stakeholders that the scheduled examination for December 20 and 21st, 2023, stand cancelled... Examinations scheduled from December 22, 2023, will proceed as originally planned,'' read the fake circular.

The official also emphasised that the undergraduate exam would take place in accordance with the schedule that was originally planned.

In another update from Delhi University, a senior university official revealed on Tuesday that students who fail a single remaining paper while taking advantage of every opportunity to finish their degrees will receive 10 grace marks. The eligibility for this provision was also disclosed.

Only those students who have failed a single paper after utilising all available special chances will receive the additional 10 marks.
