IAS Priyanka Goel’s Success Story: Every year in India, lakhs of candidates register for the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination, but only few of them manage to crack it with their hard work and dedication. Many candidates abandon their efforts after a couple of failures, but some individuals become an inspiration and demonstrate remarkable perseverance despite recurring disappointments. Priyanka Goel, a resident of Delhi, is one of the shining examples of such determination as well as never giving up attitude. Let’s read her impressive journey of hard work and determination as she cracked the UPSC in her 6th attempt which shows that if you are determined, you will achieve success not today but tomorrow.
IAS Priyanka Goel completed her education from Maharaja Agrasen Model School in Pitampura, Delhi. She earned a bachelors degree in B.com from Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Delhi University. After graduating, she thoroughly focused on the UPSC examination, preparing for the examination.
Inspiring UPSC Journey:
In the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination, Priyanak failed five times consecutively but refused to give up on her dream. Her undineable effort and unwavering determination bore fruit when she secured the 369th rank in the civil services examination in her sixth and final attempt, earning the title of IAS officer. Her journey is a pure example of inspiration for millions of young individuals who find themselves discouraged by setbacks or failures, she didn’t give up and in the end she cracked the UPSC Examination.
Priyanka’s ambition to prepare for the UPSC began during her initial college years, leading her to commence her preparation immediately once her graduation is completed. Nonetheless, her path was filled with challenges and failures; she did not succeed in her first five attempts of the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination and often created self-doubt. She failed to crack the prelims examination in her initial attempt due to not understanding of the syllabus.
In her second attempt of the Prelims, she fell short of the cut-off by merely 0.7 marks whereas her third attempt resulted in failure at the Mains examination, whereas she grappled with the CSAT in her fourth attempt. During her fifth attempt, a personal crisis arose when her mother’s health deteriorated due to COVID that became the reason for her failure in the fifth attempt.
Despite these obstacles, she remained confident in her pursuit, demonstrating that perseverance and effort are eventually rewarded and success will come your way. Here marks underscore her commitment. She achieved 292 marks in her optional subject ‘Public Administration,’ one of the highest scores in the history, and 193 marks in the interview round. With an overall score of 965 marks, she attained an All India rank of 369 and became an IAS officer.
