GATE 2024: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) got more than 1.37 lakh applications on September 29, according to the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc). To encourage additional applicants, the institute has extended the deadline for registration without a late fee to October 5.

The GATE registration link 2024 is hosted by the GATE online application processing system (GOAPS), located at the official website of GOAPS at goaps.iisc.ac.in. Candidates must take the exam if they want to pursue postgraduate and doctorate programs at the IITs and IISc. Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) use GATE scores in the recruitment process.

The deadline for GATE 2024 applications was September 29, and the deadline for applications with late fees was October 13. However, as per the most recent release, candidates may submit applications by October 5 with standard fees.

"GATE 2024 team has decided to extend the deadline for registration without late fee until Oct 5th, 2023," GATE24_Official tweeted.

 

On February 3, 4, 10, and 11, the GATE exam 2024 will be administered for 30 examination papers covering engineering, science, architecture, and humanities. On September 21, IISc reported that there were around 25% more applications for GATE 2024 than there were for GATE 2019.

Gate 2024 Registration: Steps To Fill Form

Candidates must adhere to the instructions listed below to complete the online GATE 2024 application form.

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE 2024 at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the GATE registration link.

Step 3: To complete the registration form, enter the details like name, email address, mobile number, etc.

Step 4: Upload scanned photograph and signature as per specifications.

Step 5: After this, pay the GATE registration fee in online mode.

Step 6: Preview details filled in the application form for GATE 2024.

Step 7: Then, submit the GATE exam registration form.
