The edtech sector has the potential to revolutionise education and skill development in India. However, the sector also comes with a number of problems, such as data privacy concerns, misleading marketing practices, and low-quality content.

Regulating the edtech sector will help to address these problems and ensure that students have access to high-quality, affordable education. By setting standards for data privacy, marketing practices, and content quality, regulation will protect students and parents from harm.

Mr. Gaurav Goel, Co-founder, and CEO of Toprankers outlined specific strategies through which regulatory measures in the edtech sector can advance student education and skill development.

Here are some specific ways that regulating the edtech sector can work ahead for student educational and skill advancement:

Protecting Student Data Privacy: Edtech companies should be required to collect and use student data in a responsible manner. They should also be required to take steps to protect student data from unauthorised access or misuse.
