IIT JAM 2026 Registration: The registration process for the Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM) 2026 has been commenced by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay today on September 5, 2025 on their official website. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their registration forms online by visiting the website portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. The students must frequently check on the official website to stay updated.
This national-level entrance examination opens doors to various postgraduate courses and programmes—including MSc, MSc-PhD dual degrees, and integrated PhDs—across 22 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
IIT JAM 2026 Registration: Total Seats
With over 3,000 seats available for the 2026–27 academic session, interested and eligible students must complete their applications via the official JOAPS portal before the deadline on October 12, 2025. The students are advised to complete the registration process within the deadline published by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay otherwise they won’t be able to apply online.
The IIT JAM 2026 Examination will take place on February 15, 2026 in two different examination shifts. According to the information mentioned in the brochure, there are around 3000 seats in postgraduate programmes. To apply for the IIT JAM 2026 Registration, candidates must attain the eligibility criteria, they should be a Bachelor's degree holder or in their final year of undergraduate programme.

Step 1. Students have to visit the official website of the IIT JAM Examination at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
Step 2. Students need to first register by providing their personal and educational details.
Step 3. After receiving credentials, students have to log in and fill the registration form.
Step 4. After submitting, students have to pay an online application fee.
Step 5. Submit to proceed and download the confirmation page.
Those candidates who will qualify in the JAM 2026 examination will be eligible to apply for admission into several academic programmes and courses offered by participating institutes whereas those students will be required to meet the eligibility requirements and minimum educational qualifications.
