JAM 2026 Correction Window Extended: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the application correction window for the Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM) 2026 on their official website. This will allow the candidates to modify their information in the application form till November 13, 2025. Students can now make corrections through the official JAM portal.

The previous deadline for making corrections in the JAM 2026 application form was November 10, but IIT Bombay has extended this deadline to November 13, 2025. The candidates must note that all corrections and edits in the form must be completed within the deadline.

JAM 2026: Exam Details 

The Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM) 2026 will be conducted on February 15, 2026, in two different sessions, Forenoon and Afternoon, in a total of 114 cities in India. This examination is conducted for those students who are seeking admissions to the postgraduate programs and courses offered by 22 Indian Institute of Technology, which offer around 3,000 seats in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics disciplines.

JAM 2026: Steps to make corrections in the application form

Step 1. Students must visit the official portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in to make corrections.

Step 2. Students have to log in using their registered credentials and information.

Step 3. There will be a link for the ‘Application Correction’ on the homepage.

Step 4. Now, students can make the modifications and submit the additional fees.

Step 5. Students must submit the application form with the changes within the given period of deadline. 

JAM 2026: Examination Pattern

There will be seven papers in JAM 2026, including Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH). The exam is divided into three sections:

Section A: 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in which negative marking will be calculated.

Section B: 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). Students must note that there will be no negative marking.

Section C: 20 Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT). In thai section also, no negative marking.
