IIT JAM Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will close the online application process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 tomorrow, October 20, 2025. Students seeking admission to various Master's programs for the 2026-27 academic year must complete their registration on the official website, jam2026.iitb.ac.in, before the deadline.

IIT JAM 2026: Steps To Apply  

Candidates can follow these simple steps to complete their application before the deadline:

Step 1: Go to the JAM 2026 portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the "New Registration" link. Enter your basic details like name, mobile number, and email address to generate your Enrolment ID and Password.

Step 3: Log in using your credentials and carefully fill out the detailed application form. 

Step 4: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable) in the specified format and size.

Step 5: Choose the test paper(s) you wish to appear for, such as Mathematics (MA), Physics (PH), Chemistry (CY), Biotechnology (BT), etc.

Step 6: Proceed to pay the non-refundable application fee online using credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. The fee varies based on category and gender.

Step 7: Double-check all the entered information for accuracy. Once confirmed, submit the final application form.

Step 8: After successful submission and fee payment, download and print the application confirmation page for your future records.

IIT JAM Registration 2026: Application fees & Correction Window

The application cost is Rs 1000/- for one exam paper and Rs 1350/- for two for female/SC/ST/PwD applicants and Rs 2000/- for one test paper and Rs 2700/- for two for all other categories.

Candidates who enter the wrong CATEGORY, GENDER, EXAMINATION CITY, or Date of Birth can change it by paying an additional fee of Rs 300. Candidates can add or change a test paper to their already filled application form by paying an additional fee of Rs 300 until November 10, 2025.
