JEE Advanced 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will open enrollment for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) today for individuals seeking admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The JEE Advanced 2024 registration form will be available on the official IIT JEE website, jeeadv.ac.in. Applicants should be aware that only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main rank holders will be qualified for the JEE Adv exam 2024.

The online registration for foreign national applicants, particularly those who obtained Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cards on or after March 4, 2021, commenced on April 16. Applicants must select eight exam cities of their choice while registering online.

According to the timetable, the application process for JEE-qualified applicants starts today at 5 pm and ends on May 7 at 5 pm. This year, officials hiked the JEE Advanced application costs for all categories. SC, ST, PwD, and female applicants will have to pay Rs 1,600, while all other applicants must pay Rs 3,200.

IITs will admit students to undergraduate bachelor's, integrated master's, and bachelor-master dual degree programs in engineering, science, and architecture through the JEE Advanced entrance test in 2024.

The JEE Advanced test, slated for May 26, will consist of two papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will last three hours each. Participation in both papers is required. Paper 1 will be administered by the institute from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and paper 2 from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. PwD applicants with 40% impairment will be given a further hour to finish the exam.
