JEE Advanced Brochure 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has published the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2025) information brochure on its official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced 2025 registration for IIT admissions will begin on April 23 and end on May 5.
On May 18, IIT-K will hold the JEE Advanced 2025 exam for the top 2.5 lakh rank holders in the National Testing Agency's (NTA) JEE Main 2025 exam. JEE Advanced 2025 allows IITs to admit students to undergraduate courses leading to a bachelor's, integrated master's, or bachelor-master dual degree in engineering, science, or architecture.
In the first week of November, IIT Kanpur announced that the number of attempts for JEE Advanced 2025 has been raised to three. Two weeks later, the Joint Admissions Board (JAB) reinstated the previous two-attempt regulation. This means that applicants would be permitted to take JEE Advanced a maximum of thrice in two consecutive years.
Those who took the Class 12 board test in 2024 and plan to take the subsequent board exam in 2025 will be able to apply for the exam. In addition, entrance to IITs requires a 75% pass rate.
As per the JEE Advanced Age Restriction 2025, “Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995.”
Aside from the 23 IITs, some centrally funded institutions - Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli, and Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, also use JEE Advanced.
