The Jharkhand government has approved several proposals in the education sector, amounting to Rs 530 crore, for the establishment of engineering colleges and polytechnics. This includes the construction of the Government Polytechnic in Chakulia, Jamshedpur, at an estimated cost of Rs 134.18 crore, the Government Engineering College in Jamshedpur at Rs 254.93 crore, and the Government Polytechnic in Potka, Jamshedpur, at Rs 136.13 crore.

Moreover, Rs 42.83 crore has been approved for the second phase of the Netarhat Tourism Project, along with the establishment of institutes similar to the Netarhat Residential School in the Kolhan, Santhal Pargana, and North Chotanagpur divisions.

The cabinet also approved Rs 20 crore for the first three years of the Jharkhand State Institutional Ranking Framework (JSIRF) and Rs 39.21 crore for the construction of a degree college at Thakurgangti in the Godda district.

Further approvals include amendments to the Anganwadi Centre Building Construction Scheme, a Rs 50 crore allocation for setting up integrated science and mathematics laboratories in elementary schools, and the closure of SPV Patratu Energy Limited (PEL). An additional Rs 38.20 crore was allocated for constructing a women's college in Baharagora, alongside revisions to the guidelines for the Guruji Students' Credit Card scheme.

In total, 29 decisions were taken by the cabinet, led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
