JNUSU Election Result 2025: The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) election result 2025 is expected shortly, with Left Unity maintaining its dominance in all four key posts; President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Joint Secretary. Left Unity is maintaining lead in all four posts- President, Vice President, General Secretary and Joint Secretary. After counting of 5040 votes, Left is leading in three key posts- President, Vice President and Joint Secretary while ABVP is leading for General Secretary post by a margin.
A total of seven students are contesting for the president post- Aditi Mishra from Left Unity, Vikas Patel (ABVP), Vikash Bishnoi (NSUI), Raj Ratan Rajoria (BAPSA), Shirshava Indu (DISHA), Shinde Vijayalaxmi (Progressive Students’ Association), Angad Singh (Independent). For the vice-president post, the key contestants are- Left Unity’s Kizhakoot Gopika Babu, NSUI’s Shaikh Shahnawaz Alam, and ABVP’s Tanya Kumari.

Left’s Aditi Mishra Leads in Presidential Race
Aditi Mishra from Left Unity continues to lead the presidential race with 1,375 votes. ABVP’s Vikas Patel stands second with 1,192 votes, while Shinde Vijayalakshmi of the Progressive Students’ Association (PSA) follows with 915 votes.
K Gopika Babu Maintains Lead for Vice President Post
In the vice-president race, Left Unity’s Kizhakoot Gopika Babu has secured a commanding lead with 2,146 votes. ABVP’s Tanya Kumari trails behind with 1,437 votes, while NSUI’s Shaikh Shahnawaz Alam stands third.
Close Contest Between Left and ABVP for General Secretary Posts
According to the latest updates, Left Unity is ahead in the President, Vice President posts and Joint Secretary, while ABVP candidates are leading for General Secretary. Final counting results are awaited soon.
Left Unity’s Continued Dominance at JNU
The alliance of AISA, SFI, and DSF under the Left Unity banner has once again demonstrated its strong foothold in JNU politics. The group is on track to retain its influence if current trends hold until final results.
