1. Last Shravani Somvar: Sawan is considered as the most auspicious and spiritual month. The last somvar in savan is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shravan month in 2025 commenced on July 11th, 2025 and concluded on August 9th, 2025 with a final somvar. Mondays within this specific period are considered as particularly spiritual, as many people observe fasts and perform special prayers to Lord Shiva during this time period.

2.  Raksha Bandhan: Raksha Bandham is one of the most celebrated festivals of India, thai festival is a celebration of the bonds between sister and brother. According to Sanskrit terminology, this occasion means "the tie or knot of protection" where "Raksha" stands for the protection and "Bandhan" signifies the verb to tie. It symbolises the eternal love that brothers and sisters share for their lifetime. 

3. Chehlum/Independence Day: Chehlum is also called as Arbaeen, which is basically a Shia Muslim that marks the 40th day after Ashura. Independence Day is celebrated on 15 August in India every year. This year, India will be celebrating its 79th Independence Day. This day marks the end of over two centuries of colonial domination of the British Raj and the beginning of a new era for the country. 

4. Shri Krishna Janmashtami: This year, Shri Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 16, 2025 (Saturday). Krishna Janmashtami is popularly known as Gokulashtami or simply Janmashtami, this is a Hindu festival which celebrates the birth of the Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. Lord Krishna is referred to as a symbol of love, compassion, and righteousness.

5. Hariyali Teej (Teej Vrat): Another name of Haryali Teej is Chhoti Teej, it is a vibrant Hindu festival which is primarily celebrated in the areas of North India. In this festival, women honour the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This also marks the beginning of the monsoon season. It is also known as the ‘Green Festival of North India’ and serves as an emblem for good luck, fertility, and nature.
