Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti 2023: Short Speech
Respected Principal, Teachers, and my dear fellow students,
Today is a special day, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. We celebrate this day to remember and honour a great man, Mahatma Gandhi. He was born on October 2nd, 1869, and he became a hero for our country, India.
Mahatma Gandhi taught us some very important things. He believed in peace and kindness. He showed us that we can solve problems without fighting and hurting others. He used non-violence to fight for India's freedom from the British rule.
One of the most famous things he did was the Salt March. He walked a long way to the sea to make salt because the British government had put a tax on salt. This showed us that even a simple act can make a big difference.
Gandhi Ji also told us to always speak the truth and be honest. He believed in treating everyone equally, no matter where they come from or what they look like.
So, on this Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, let's remember his teachings. Let's be kind to one another, tell the truth, and work together to make our country and the world a better place. We can all be little Gandhis in our own way.
Thank you.
