According to media reports, the announcement of the postponed exams follows a chaotic situation on Sunday, when Mumbai University's PhD Entrance Test (PET) was disrupted by technical glitches and delays, leaving hundreds of candidates frustrated. The exam, originally scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, failed to start on time, causing around 400-500 students to be stranded outside Thakur College in Kandivli. A similar situation occurred at the Surekha Infotech centre in Dombivli. Reports suggest that technical issues with login IDs and passwords prevented students from accessing the exam portal, resulting in the delays.
