NEET PG 2024: The Supreme Court will resume hearing the plea demanding transparency in the NEET PG 2024 results on January 7, 2025. The hearing, initially scheduled for December 10, 2024, was postponed for the seventh time, prompting frustration among medical students.
The petition, filed by 19 students on September 7, 2024, calls for the release of the answer key, raw marks, and details of the normalization process used to calculate the NEET PG 2024 results. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has refused to release this information, citing confidentiality concerns.
The Supreme Court, during its first hearing, acknowledged the unusual circumstances surrounding the exam, including a last-minute change in the exam pattern, distant exam centers, and the non-disclosure of exam content.
The NBE's implementation of a normalization process following the introduction of a new system resulted in many candidates receiving lower-than-expected marks. This sparked controversy and raised concerns about the transparency of the results.

Meanwhile, several states have resumed NEET PG 2024 counseling, which was previously stalled due to discrepancies in state merit lists. Five court cases related to these issues have been filed across five states.
The NEET PG 2024, conducted on August 11, 2024, saw 2,28,540 candidates registered across 416 exam centers nationwide. This year, the exam was held in two shifts, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM to 7 PM, respectively.
