NEET PG 2024 Exam Fee: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a considerable reduction in the NEET PG examination fee, benefiting all category candidates by a reduction of Rs 750, in an effort to make medical education more accessible and affordable.
This policy went into effect on January 1, 2024. The objective of NBEMS's decision is to lessen the financial strain on the large number of candidates who are getting prepared to sit for the upcoming exams.
The application fee for general and OBC category candidates was Rs 3,750 in 2013. Later on, this fee increased and was Rs 4,250 in 2021. However, the NBEMS moved proactively and reduced the fee to Rs 3,500 effective from January 1, 2024, as per the news agency PTI report.
The lowered application fee, which is now less than the 2013 application fee, must be paid by eligible candidates submitting their application form for the upcoming NEET PG exam.
According to the media reports, the NBEMS amended the registration price to Rs 2,500, beginning January 1, 2024, in order to further encourage applicants from these categories. Besides, in 2013, the registration fee for SC, ST, and PWD category candidates was Rs 2,750. This application fee was raised to Rs 3,250 in 2021.
