NEET PG 2024: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has moved the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) test to June 23. According to the NMC's most recent update, the internship deadline remains the same.
The selection was made at a meeting between the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB), National Medical Commission, Medical Counselling Committee, Directorate General for Health Sciences, and National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences.
The exam was originally scheduled for March 3 but had to be postponed until July 7 after the commission received multiple representations from potential applicants.

According to the revised schedule, the NMC will announce the NEET PG result 2024 by July 15. Meanwhile, the NEET MDS exam 2024 was held on March 18, despite students requesting and filing a plea with the Supreme Court to postpone the dental medical entrance exam. The primary issue expressed by the aspirants was that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts unified counselling, and MDS hopefuls will have to wait until the NEET PG exams are completed.
However, the NMC has now declared that NEET PG counselling would begin on August 5 and conclude on October 15.
“It has also been decided that the cut off date for completion of internship to become eligible for NEET PG-2024 is 15th Aug 2024. All candidates desirous of taking the NEET PG-2024 are requested to take cognizance of the above dates,” Deputy Secretary of PGMEB Aujender Singh said.
