NEET PG 2024: Draft Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER) 2023 comments are being sought by the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC). The National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET PG) tentative date of 2024 has led to widespread discussion about the requirements. If it is held, NEET PG 2024 will be held in March 2024 by NMC standards.

The National Exit Test (NExT), which is meant to take the role of the NEET PG exam, was initially scheduled to be held for the current MBBS batch the next year by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS Delhi. Nevertheless, NMC decided to postpone the exam till further notice after consulting with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The draft of PGMER 2023's fourth chapter discusses medical school admission and counselling. According to the postgraduate broad speciality admission timetable NMC has created, "As per NExT Regulation or in case admission is to be based on NEET-PG, then Exam will be conducted in the month of March." The next academic session 2024–25 will begin in July, and the NEET PG counseling procedure will start in May.
