NEST 2024: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University's Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) will start the registration window for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 tomorrow, March 20. Applicants can fill out the NEST 2024 application form on the official website of NEST at nestexam.in.
According to the official website, the NEST 2024 will have a total of 200 seats. The deadline for applying for NEST 2024 is May 31. Candidates will be able to correct their applications; however, the dates for the application correction window have yet to be revealed. The NEST admit cards 2024 will be distributed on May 29. NEST 2024 will be held on June 30 in 115 places across India.
NEST 2024: Eligibility Criteria
According to the NEST 2023 eligibility criteria, applicants must have completed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% in the Science stream. Candidates must also have completed their last qualifying examination in 2021 or 2023. Applicants in the general or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category must have completed their Class 12 board exams with a minimum aggregate of 60%, while applicants in the reserved category must have earned at least 55%.
Candidates in the General or OBC categories must have been born on or after August 1, 2003, whereas reserved category candidates are allowed a maximum 5-year age exemption.
NEST 2024: Application fees
The NEST 2024 application cost for male candidates in the General and OBC categories is Rs 1,400. The application cost for SC, ST, Divyangjan, and all female candidates is Rs 700. Candidates can pay the NEST application fee 2024 using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
