An official announcement from the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration declares that on September 12, all educational institutions in Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed in honor of the Guru Dronacharya Mela. Acknowledging the historical importance of this event, the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), Dharamveer Singh, has released an official statement declaring a holiday for both public and private schools, colleges, universities, and all other educational institutions.
“The Guru Dronacharya Mela is an annual fair held in Dankaur. The fair holds historical significance. The district magistrate has the power to order holidays on such occasions and accordingly, all educational institutions have been informed to remain closed on Tuesday," Dharmveer Singh said as reported by the news agency PTI.

As per Singh's instructions, this directive applies to all educational institutions, spanning from kindergarten to class 12 across all boards, including government and private colleges and universities. Classes are set to resume from Wednesday, September 13. The Guru Dronacharya fair, an annual event of considerable magnitude, necessitates the closure of several roads for district-wide security purposes. To mitigate potential disruptions, schools, universities, and other educational institutions are being temporarily shut down as a precautionary measure. The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) has urged schools to adhere strictly to this directive.
