UP Schools Closed News: In the wake of the bad weather conditions schools have been closed in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. The schools in Barabanki, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Gonda will remain shut today, September 12 due to the inclement weather conditions. Students and parents are advised to stay connected with their respective schools for more information.

Due to the forthcoming heavy rain forecast, authorities have issued a weather alert spanning 31 districts within Uttar Pradesh. To ensure the safety of the public, the District Magistrates of Lakhimpur Kheri, Barabanki, and Gonda have issued orders for the closure of all schools up to class 12. Additionally, in light of the severe lightning and rainstorms expected, residents are strongly advised to remain indoors as a precautionary measure recommended by the administration.

"Uttar Pradesh | All schools from pre-primary to class 12 to remain closed today, 12th September in the wake of inclement weather conditions in Barabanki and Lakhimpur Kheri districts and a weather warning by IMD," tweeted ANI.  

"In view of the warning of heavy rain issued by the Meteorological Department and the bad weather in Barabanki for the last few hours, in all the government / non-government aided / private schools from pre-primary to class 12 of all the boards in all the urban and rural areas of Barabanki district. Teaching work will be suspended on 11th and 12th September 2023. Make sure to strictly comply with the said order. The authenticity of this order can be confirmed by the school management, parents and students on the distri&t website www.barabanki.nic.in," reads the official notification.

“In view of the warning of heavy rains issued by the Meteorological Department and bad weather, holiday is declared today, Tuesday, 12.09.2023, in all government/non-government/private schools up to class 12 of all the boards in all the urban and rural areas of the district,” tweeted District Magistrate, Gonda.
