Agra Schools Closed On September 26
Agra remained overcast throughout the day on Friday due to the impact of Cyclonic Storm Arnab. Heavy rainfall is forecast for Saturday. In anticipation of the inclement weather, District Magistrate Manish Bansal has declared a holiday for all schools in Agra on Saturday.
Under this order, academic activities will remain suspended in all government, government-aided, and private schools ranging from pre-primary to Class 12 across both urban and rural areas of the district.
Varanasi Schools To Remain Closed
In Varanasi, schools up to Class 12 will remain closed on Saturday, September 26, due to heavy weather-prone conditions and the forecast rainfall. Students and parents have been advised to follow the district administration's instructions.
School Closure in Ayodhya on September 26:
The Meteorological Department has issued a 'Red/Orange' alert for heavy rainfall. In view of this, the district administration has decided to keep all schools in the district closed on September 26. District Education Officer Lal Chandra has issued an order to this effect. Teaching activities will remain suspended in all schools across both urban and rural areas of the district on Saturday.
The District Education Officer's order states that all schools, including those run by the Basic Education Council, government-aided institutions, and recognised private schools, will remain closed on September 26. This order applies to schools affiliated with boards such as ICSE and the UP Board. Students from pre-primary level up to Class 12 will observe this holiday.
Schools closed in Mainpuri on September 26
All schools in Mainpuri district will remain closed tomorrow due to rain. Schools for classes 1 to 12 will be shut. District Magistrate Dr. Indramani Tripathi issued this order.
Schools in Kasganj Closed on September 26
Due to forecasts of inclement weather and heavy rainfall, a holiday has been declared for all schools (across all boards) for classes 1 to 12 in the district on September 26, 2026.
Other Districts Announcing School Holiday
