Nuh Violence: Schools And Colleges To Remain Closed Today In Gurugram's Sohna Due To Communal Unrest

School Closed News: In response to the communal unrest triggered by recent violence in the Nuh district of Haryana, all educational institutions within the Sohna subdivision of Gurugram will remain closed today, August 2 as a precautionary measure.

The Gurugram district magistrate issued an order stating that the communal tension in the neighboring district of Nuh has resulted in the blockage of roads by anti-social elements, raising concerns over the potential disruption of peace, tranquility, and public order in the region.

“In order to avoid any untoward incident and ensure the safety of the students, it is deemed necessary to close all Government and private educational institutions in the Sohna Sub-division of District Gurugram on 2nd August, 2023, in view of the prevailing circumstances,” the order reads.

All schools, colleges, and coaching institutes in Sohna will remain closed on August 2, 2023, due to the communal unrest in the neighboring Nuh district, educational institutions in other parts of Gurugram will remain open. Students, parents, and guardians are advised to stay in contact with the schools to receive accurate information regarding the conduct of online or offline classes.
