Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the upcoming opening of a new Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) office in Dubai, highlighting the commitment to providing top-notch education within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During his address at the 'Ahlan Modi' diaspora event in Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted significant advancements in the education sector. "More than 1.5 lakh Indian students are studying in UAE schools... The master's course was started at the IIT Delhi campus here last month and a new CBSE office will be opened soon in Dubai. These institutions will be helpful in providing the best education to the Indian community here".
Prime Minister Modi emphasised the cultural bonds and shared linguistic between India and the UAE, while also praising both countries' accomplishments as models for the world.
"In terms of community and culture, the achievements of India and UAE serve as a model for the world to emulate. There is a close proximity in the languages of India and UAE as well," PM Modi added.

PM Modi highlighted India's global recognition for its massive infrastructure projects, thriving tourism sector, and prowess in sports, in addition to its educational endeavors.
"India is being recognised as a vibrant tourist destination. India is being recognised as a big sports power. You will be proud to hear this. You know the digital revolution in India. Digital India is appreciated across the world. To ensure that people in the UAE also get its benefit, we are making all efforts. We shared the RuPay card pack with the UAE...UPI is about to begin in the UAE soon. With this, seamless payments will be possible between the UAE and Indian accounts," says PM Modi, as reported by news agency ANI.

Moreover, the Prime Minister engaged with the inaugural cohort of students at the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus and praised the initiative for fostering collaboration between the youth of India and the UAE. He expressed that this endeavor marks the commencement of a fresh chapter in bilateral cooperation between the two nations and promotes closer ties among their youth. The establishment of an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi campus in the UAE was conceptualised by the leadership of both India and the UAE in February 2022.
"The project is a joint collaboration between the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) and Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and aims to provide quality higher education opportunities to students globally," the MEA statement read.
