CBSE Board Exams 2024: The board warned students, teachers, and other stakeholders against rumors and fake information related to the exams. CBSE said that it will take action against any miscreant spreading any false information related to the exams or paper leaks. The CBSE classes 10 and 12 board exams 2024 are scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 15, and will conclude on April 2, 2024.
"It has been observed in the past that during exam time certain unscrupulous elements make effect to spread rumours on YouTube, Facebook, X, Telegram and other social media platforms about paper leak to claim to have access to question papers of exams. Miscreants also circulate fake links of sample papers with the claim that questions will be from those sample papers," reads the press release.

CBSE further stated that miscreants also circulate fake pictures and videos of question papers to which they claim that they have access of question papers which could be made available against payment of money. Parents and students have been urged by the board to avoid falling for such false information.
The board also emphasised that appropriate measures would be taken against individuals, agencies, or groups responsible for such misconduct. Any student found involved in disseminating misinformation would also face consequences under unfair means rules and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. “The board is vigilant and active in identifying and taking action against those spreading fake news and rumors,” reads the statement.
The board has also warned against the fake social media handles that have been using the name and logo of CBSE intending to mislead the general public on multi-blogging site X. The board has identified 30 fake social media handles. CBSE has clarified that to follow only its official X handle - @cbseindia29 for verified and authentic information.
