Ranchi Schools Closed:  Schools in Ranchi will stay closed today, November 28 due to the swearing-in ceremony of Hemant Soren as Jharkhand's Chief Minister, an official said.

The grand ceremony, scheduled at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground, is expected to attract thousands of attendees from across the state. This large gathering could lead to significant traffic disruptions, potentially causing inconvenience to students, the official stated.

According to a circular issued by the district education officer, the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister and his cabinet will take place at Morabadi Ground.

The circular noted that over one lakh visitors are anticipated, arriving in private vehicles and buses. "More than one lakh visitors are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony from the entire state. All the visitors will come in their personal vehicles or buses, due to which there is a possibility of traffic jams in the city," it stated.

"In such a situation, students coming by school buses may get stuck in traffic jams for hours, which would not seem appropriate in the interest of students," according to the circular.
