School Holiday Tomorrow: Many schools, colleges and educational institutes will remain closed tomorrow on November 5, 2025 in several states of India such as Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and more. While school closures are expected in areas with a large Sikh and Hindu populations, parents are advised to stay in touch with the schools authorities for confirmation.
Schools in India will observe a holiday tomorrow due to the two important religious observances Guru Nanak Janati 2025 and Kartik Purnima. This dual observance will particularly impact educational institutions in North India and major urban centers, where these festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Guru Nanak Jayanti 2025: Schools Closed
Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated every year. This year, Guru Nanak Jayanti marks the 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the founder of Sikhism culture and is revered as the first of the 10 Sikh Gurus. He was born in Talwandi, Punjab (now in Pakistan's Nankana Sahib), he wanted to pursue a path in spirituality since childhood. Schools and educational institutes will remain closed in observance of the Guru Nanak Jayanti 2025 or Guru Purab 2025.
