Karnataka School incident: A portion of a concrete roof collapsed at a government school in Mugallolli Tanda, located in Karnataka's Bagalkote district, injuring six students while classes were actively underway on Wednesday. Local administrative officials confirmed that all six affected students suffered minor injuries, are out of danger, and are receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital.

The incident has drawn intense criticism from parents, who stated they had previously raised concerns regarding the dilapidated condition of the school infrastructure. In response, local administrative bodies have ordered immediate structural repairs and safety interventions to prevent future hazards.
Official Response and Hospital Inspections
Following the roof collapse, Bagalkote Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gajanan Bale issued an official statement confirming that all six injured students are safe and under observation. The Deputy Director of the Department of School Education and Literacy (DDPI) visited the hospital directly to oversee the treatment being administered to the children.

Administrative Action and Structural Repair Directives
In light of the safety breach, the district administration instructed the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department (PRED) to begin reconstruction and repairs on the damaged school building immediately.
CEO Gajanan Bale noted that instructions have been dispatched to ensure permanent repairs and safety assessments across the premises on an urgent basis.
