School Closed: Given the severe cold and fog, on the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, schools up to class 12th in the district will remain closed on 29th and 30th December.
According to the order of District Basic Education Officer Rahul Pawar, due to dense fog and extreme cold, there will be two days of holiday from December 29 to December 30, 2023, in all board-affiliated schools up to class 12th running in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
School winter vacation from 31st December to 14th January
Apart from this, winter vacation has been declared in the schools of UP from 31 December 2023 to 14 January 2024. After this, schools will be opened regularly from January 15. This means that schools will now be opened directly on January 15, 2024.
UP Govt Announces School Timings Changed For Class 1 to 8
Due to the extreme cold, the Uttar Pradesh government has modified the state's school schedule. Due to heavy fog, the state's secondary and higher secondary schools' opening and closing timings have been adjusted, according to a late Wednesday announcement from the authorities.
Additionally, the government has declared Thursday and Friday as school holidays in various locations. The District Magistrate's decree has caused the Ghaziabad schools' hours to be adjusted from 10 am to 3 pm for Classes 1 through 8.
