SSC Stenographer Exam 2023: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the negative marking scheme for the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination 2023. Under the updated guideline, for every wrong response in the exam, 0.25 marks will be subtracted.

"There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Computer Based Examination," reads the official notification.

In the past, the regulation stated that for every wrong answer, a negative marking would be set at one-third of the marks assigned to the question. For example, if each question was worth one mark, the deduction was 0.33 marks. However, this has now been adjusted to 0.25 marks.

The SSC Stenographer examination consists of three subjects including General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness have 50 questions each, with a maximum of 50 marks per subject. The English Language section comprises 100 questions worth 100 marks.

The application process for SSC Stenographer recruitment was concluded on August 23. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) is scheduled for October. This recruitment drive will fill up a total of 93 vacant seats in Group C and 1114 vacant seats for Group D posts. As per the calendar, the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Recruitment exam is scheduled for October 12 and 13. To proceed, candidates must pass a written examination and then undergo a skill test. The written test will be conducted in a computer-based format.
