The credibility of public examinations in Uttar Pradesh has once again come under scrutiny. This situation arose after officials issued a stern warning against insensitive security checks conducted during recruitment examinations. CM Directs To All UP Recruitment Boards:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the chairpersons of all recruitment boards in the state to ensure that no derogatory or objectionable remarks are made regarding the dignity and beliefs of any individual, caste, sect, or religious community.
Taking a stern stance on the issue concerning the question paper for the UP Police Sub-Inspector recruitment examination, the Chief Minister stated that such remarks would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He further directed that clear instructions be issued to all paper-setters in this regard and that those who repeatedly commit such errors be immediately blacklisted.
Mandatory Safeguards in Examination Agreements:
To ensure long-term compliance with regulations, the government has mandated that future agreements with paper-setters must incorporate mandatory clauses designed to safeguard the sanctity and sensitivity of the examination process.
These provisions are to be included in the 'Memorandums of Understanding' (MoUs) signed with individuals or agencies engaged in the task of preparing question papers. Officials state that the objective is to ensure that the integrity, credibility, and social sensitivity of the recruitment process are upheld.
A Stern Warning to the System:
These developments convey a stern message to the state's examination system: a lack of discipline cannot be allowed to descend into disgrace, nor can security be achieved at the cost of public trust.
For the millions of candidates who participate in recruitment examinations every year, this stance by the government represents an endeavor to establish a clear boundary. The examination hall must remain, above all, a sanctuary of fairness, respect, and dignity.
