UP Police Paper Leak Case:  The UP government on Tuesday removed Renuka Mishra as the chairperson of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. This decision comes after allegations surfaced regarding the leakage of the question paper for the constable recruitment examination, leading to its cancellation.

Renuka Mishra has been removed from her position as the chairperson of the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. She has been replaced by IPS officer Rajeev Krishna.

The move was made in the wake of claims of a question paper leak, which led to the cancellation of the UP police constable recruitment exam. An examination for over 60,000 constable recruitment posts in Uttar Pradesh was conducted on February 17 and 18, with over 48 lakh candidates took the exam.

Furthermore, the government has announced that a re-examination will be conducted within six months. The exact date and time of the examination are yet to be announced by the board. 

The investigation into the paper leak has been handed over to the Special Task Force (STF), and individuals found responsible will face FIRs. With over 48 lakh applicants, the exam came under scrutiny due to a leaked paper circulating on social media. In response, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board established an internal committee to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
