UP Scholarship Status 2026: To support around 50 lakh students financially, the UP Government has released the second installment of the UP Scholarship 2025-26. The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department will send the money directly to the student’s bank account through direct bank transfer (DBT) mode. 

Eligible students across Pre-Matric (Class 9-10) and Post-Matric (Class 11-12, UG, PG, and Diploma) categories who were verified by the District Scholarship Committee (DSC) will receive the amount into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. The scholarship amount will cover costs such as school fees, books, study materials, travel, and exam expenses.

UP Scholarship Status 2026: How To Check Payment Status?

Use the following steps to check your payment status from the official portal.

Step 1: Go to the official website at scholarship.up.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the “Status” section.

Step 3: Select the year as 2025-26.

Step 4: Enter your registration number and date of birth and click the search button.

Step 5: Your payment status will appear on the screen.

UP Scholarship Status 2025-26: Income Limits

Students belonging to the following income limits are eligible for the scholarship. 

  • Class 9-10: Family income below Rs 1 lakh

  • Class 11 and above: Family income up to Rs 2 lakh

  • SC/ST students: Family income up to Rs 2.5 lakh

UP Scholarship Status 2025-26; Payment Status Details

The payment status will be available on the official website at scholarship.up.gov.in. The meaning of the various payment parameters is as follows.

  • Pending at District Committee: Application is still being checked

  • Verified/Recommended: Approved and ready for payment

  • Rejected: Application not accepted due to errors or not meeting rules

  • Disbursed: Money has been sent to your bank account
